About the project
We've built 17 superyacht moorings along the western side of Halsey Wharf and installed breakwaters at the end of Halsey and Wynyard wharves. This investment in superyacht infrastructure is critical to ensure Auckland and New Zealand keeps pace with its competitors internationally. The average spend per superyacht visiting New Zealand is $2.7million.
The breakwaters were built to control waves and create tranquillity within Wynyard Basin for race boats and superyachts. These in-water barriers also provide an extended public space out over the water and a viewing platform of the harbour.
