About the project

The purpose of the Nelson Street Lane upgrade is to enhance accessibility and improve the overall experience for pedestrians traveling from the southern end of Nelson Street to Cook Street.

What’s involved

The Nelson Street Lane project is currently in the preliminary design phase, with a concept design created in 2021. We are currently in a public consultation period on the preliminary design.

Dates

The project is scheduled to take place from June 2023 to June 2025, allowing time for the necessary planning, design, and implementation stages.
