About the project
Cruise ships make an important contribution to our economy, bringing more than $130 million a year to Auckland and the surrounding region.
A mooring dolphin is planned for the end of Queens Wharf to allow newer and larger ships to dock in central Auckland.
The structure will extend 90m from the end of Queens Wharf, and will be connected to the wharf by a gangway.
The decision to grant consent has been appealed through the environment court.
